Iris Goldsztajn, a reporter for the online collegiate publication HerCampus.com interviewed “collegiettes” to share bad friendship experiences and wrote about five way friendships can be unhealthy.
The types of unhealthy friendships included: being influenced by friends’ unhealthy habits, comparing yourself to friends, feeling peer pressure to do things you shouldn’t, getting involved with friends who are “takers,” and being involved with friends who let you down.
She also interviewed experts including The Friendship Doctor to analyze why these situations occur and how they can be avoided or overcome.
