For teens: Journalist Natasha Burton’s new book offers 101 quizzes for BFFs.

As most of us know, sharing information about ourselves with a friend goes a long way in strengthening the bonds of friendship. Intimacy and trust develop as two people slowly begin to reveal themselves to each other. Figuring out how much to say, and when, can be challenging. Teens sometimes even have a tough time figuring out how to start the conversation.

Journalist Natasha Burton’s new book, 101 Quizzes for BFFs; Crazy Fun Tests to See Who Knows Who Best (Adams Media 2015) offers 101 different conversation starters to choose from.

There are fill-in-the-blanks quizzes about celebrity crushes, places you would like to travel, and most embarrassing moments. There are also quizzes focused on friendship itself (for example, asking about the biggest disagreement you’ve had with a friend or how you like to be cheered up when you’re feeling down.)

In the introduction, Natasha writes that the book is “designed to help you talk about your lives, laugh a lot, and thank back on your best times with your BFF.” I can see how friends would enjoy using this book at sleepovers, summer camp, or after school get-togethers with friends. With its hot pink cover, it could also be the perfect Valentine’s Day Gift for your BFF or BFF-to-be!
