When any relationship turns toxic, it’s time to leave. Breaking things off with a best friend, however, is especially tricky because your lives are intertwined and, being a member of your inner circle, they probably have a lot of dirt on you. Take Katie Price/Jordan’s ex best friend, Michelle Clack, for example. The two had a falling out and now Ms Clack is telling all. This is a worst case scenario of scorned best friend revenge.
Ms Price also had drama with former bestie, Gary Cockerill. At his wedding she did not sing for the couple’s first dance as promised. Instead she cursed everyone out and lip synced to Whitney Houston’s "I Have Nothing" three times before being led from the stage. This is not an ideal way to back out of a friendship.
For a more graceful exit, Dr. Irene S. Levine, author of Best Friends Forever: Surviving a Breakup with Your Best Friend recommends respect, honest communication, and distance.
